I bought a book called The Beatles Live by Mark Lewisohn when it came out in the mid 80's. In the back was a flexi-disk of this inteview to be spun on your record player (God, I'm getting sooo old!)

This was taped on Oct 27, 1962 for a broadcast on a closed circuit radio show for a local hospital. Ringo has been with them for 9 weeks after replacing Pete Best. They've just released their first single Love Me Do. And made their first appearance on TV. And Paul refers to John as the leader of the group. With his ego, he must have choked on those words. Though ironically he does most of the talking.

Some of their joke comments about local towns I don't get; I'm sure it's like an American making jokes about LA or NY.

And as the site comments, they had no idea what lay ahead!
