Well... other than Mr. Writer.

I've lived here for more than five years and I still don't feel like a local. I am not a Bronco's fan, nor an Avalanche or a Rockies fan. I just don't get into local sports here.

I like mountain hikes, though. :)

I also love my Texas Longhorns.

Do I still qualify as a Coloradan?

2. Yeah, I think there are more transplants than natives.
Hey - the Horns are going to end up with only two losses and will likely qualify for a decent bowl this year.

I'm also a Buff (sort of) - does that also count?

5. Nothing much.
Contemplating returning to 'normal' tomorrow. Have to get my stuff together and into the car so I can go home. Need to shave my head too, it's getting a little shaggy. ;)

Quite melancholy about it all. It doesn't help that it's a Sunday afternoon. I hope you're doing better.

6. I thought you already had returned home!
Yeah, and don't get shaggy, m'dear... although I'm sure many of us wonder what your locks look like fully grown.

I went to a small Halloween party last night and of course woke up nice and early this morning. x(

I'm sorry you're feeling melancholy about going home, but isn't that a sign that you had a wonderful time? Or... perhaps it means you should contemplate moving to the US? ;)

7. I'm back in Britain, but at my mother's house.
I left my car here while I was away.

I did have a wonderful time, albeit a bittersweet one. Believe me, I have given some thought to how I might move to the US. The biggest difficulty is that I would have to give up my job to do it, with no guarantee of finding an equivalent job Stateside. I think the US immigration rules may make it even harder than it would be otherwise.

It wouldn't be impossible. I just wouldn't be able to immigrate into the same lifestyle that I have been accustomed to at home. I would need a compelling reason to come.

I do have a picture of me with hair grown out - this is from 1994:
