Kitty Keiko was last examined in June. No health problems aside from a bit of flab. He's eleven years old, an indoor cat. He eats, he plays, he can go up and down stairs with no trouble.
Twice in a month he's had an episode where he wheezes and has trouble catching his breath. No cough. No blue lips. No mucous. No hairball. Last night when it happened I listened to his chest intermittently for a while and heard some wheezing and crackles. None this morning.
From what I read about feline asthma, there's usually a cough.
I honestly have to limit any veterinary expenses if possible because I have some medical costs of my own right now.
Anyone out there with feline asthma in the house?

1. Maybe it has to do with the weather. Do you live in the WildFire area |

or close to it? A lot crap was put into the air. The smoke was even noticed in Hawaii.
