12 came zooming by my house today sitting on a motorized skateboard. The profile was about 2' tall and I shudder to think I may come around a corner on the way home from the grocery store and flatten the thing, thus creating a sailkid. This would be very upsetting. Am I being unreasonable in thinking this should not happen on a residential street? Any horror stories of crazy parenting and/or empathy would soothe my impending cranky fuddiduddiness.

1. I saw this asshole the other day in the TJ's parking lot...

zipping around on a skateboard FAST, and he went RIGHT BEHIND this woman who was backing up a big pickup truck with a camper shell. He almost hit her, swerved, hit a curb, and fell off the skateboard. The woman saw him and hit the brakes, but damn.

The point is I thought someone might get hurt and I was cursing the parents also. But I am mourning my lack of coolosity while simultaneously shaking my fist. I think he tried to run over my kitty.
