Flu shot ouchie - can I have some tea and sympathy?

I have a knot the size of an egg on my arm. Poor little me!

1. At the injection, my arm turned red and had a nice red patch

that traveled down my arm in the muscle for 5 days! It hurt and I couldn't sleep on my left side until the pain subsided.

4. That was a couple of weeks ago.

I work at a pre-school and exposed to everything. My doc basically ordered me to get a shot because I had pneumonia a couple of years ago.

I hope you feel better. It's not fun to get a flu shot!

5. I didn't even feel the shot - now I'm paying for it!

I thought I'd get one because I'm working now and God knows what I'll get exposed to, what with colleagues with children and all manner of applicants/clients coming in!

Or you can get some of that topical anaesthetic called EMLA. Here in Canada it is an over-the-counter item, but they usually keep it behind the counter.

8. mine is coming up this week, when the flu shot caravan comes to

the office. I had pneumonia a few yrs ago and am very subject to bronchitis, so now get flu shot. Don't want flu.
