Poll question: will the world end in fire or ice?
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

5. Since we're living on top of a tiny crust floating on a molten ball of iron, I'd have to say fire...

... and once the place explodes and the sun flames out, ice. Except, of course, that there will be little or no water from which to make the ice at that point.

But perhaps that's quibbling.
