Now I'm mad as hell.
My brother, for those who read my previous email, was about to be fired.
Well, he just called. And he's been fired.
For nothing.
At least that's how I see it. He had an incident with a boss where he raised his voice. He'd never had an incident before, or been written up for anything.
So tonight, after three weeks of suspension pending investigation, she calls him on the phone, and fires him. Couldn't do him the courtesy of scheduling a meeting as the union had requested.
And do you want to know what her reasons were?
He doesn't have a criminal record.
He's very quiet.
He's never had an incident before.
So he must be dangerous, because that's the kind of person who ends up murdering people.
The union didn't matter. His side of the story didn't matter. He's just fired.
I was upset with him when this started, because he can be over sensitive and raise his voice when he's frustrated. And the incident was avoidable. But now I'm just so mad at the company, I could scream. I would too, except that I'm at work.
So write him up! Or, if you're going to fire him, don't wait three fuckin' weeks to do it!
I just hope I can make the rent. Works getting busy for the holidays, so I think so.
But has anyone ever heard of such a lame reason to fire someone!?

I'm very sorry for what your brother went through. I hope, somehow, this incident will make that boss look bad to the higher-ups.
