OMG!! Just Saw Dennis Miller's show. It's like a bloody train wreck. |
|
That was just painful to watch. Not because it was brilliant right wing hyperbole, that it was not. It was just awful in so many other ways. I can't explain it but it's just so hoakey and stupid. He had a monkey sitting on the desk next to him, and I wondered if the irony of the scene went over Miller's head?
It was just painfully embarrassing to watch his show, i could only spend about 15-20 seconds watching it before my embarrassment for him forced me to change the channel. I hope that Miller has some money stashed away because this will be the end of his so called entertainment career.

It wasn't the nauseating right wing rhetoric that offended you. It was the lousy concept, the hokey writing...
That is hilarious.

Limbaugh has been beating that old borrow and spend, fuck the poor bullshit for almost twenty years now. Miller is late to the game. What a pussy Miller is.

And he thinks or hopes that no one will notice that he is an a moral tramp.
I'm still up and forgot about this post. I made it and went to make dinner and then Gladiator came on.
P.S. I'm up because I have to wait for my local news paper to up date their want ads on line, luckily I have unemployment. I just got laid off a couple of weeks ago. All part of Bush's booming economy. I can't afford four more years of this crap.
Miller: Blah,Blah,Blah,9/11,Blah,Blah,Blah, I'm scared, Blah,Blah,Blah, Bush is a good kisser...Blah,

I am enjoying not working as well, though the wife isn't all as filled with joy. I am hoping to at least get a swing shift for my next job. I'm going to take my time for a few months and look for jobs that would be worth going to work for.
Good luck and enjoy your vacation.

4. Lack of live audience makes the timing screwey |
|
I've watched it a couple of times (it got marginally better after the first), and some of the lines are pretty funny, but there's no reaction. I never thought I'd call for a laugh track, but he needs an audience or an Ed McMahon (sp?) or something.

Republican. All the other comedy guy's made jokes about him when he went to FOX. Nobody understands him anymore. I never could picture him as a neo-conservative, Independent maybe. His show is not funny and I can laugh at a stupid neo-conservative joke when it's delivered right.

9. Ha! I just caught it too. had to switch the channel. |
|
he was talking to a reporter from newsweek i think, and the newsweek guy was saying how there was dissent from with the intelligence community, and that not everyone thought the way Dick Cheney thought.
Miller sums up and says something like "well, there you go folks, everyone thought the intelligence was good, including Clinton, and nobody suspected otherwise" Like the dude is totally brain dead, just blocking out rational thought.
i couldnt stand anymore.

Monkeys and TV do not mix. Every single TV series with a monkey has tanked real fast. But a news show?

May run a rethug senate campaign in Cali. Saw him on the Daily Show the other day; Jon didn't bring it up. Instead he encouraged him to strongly consider a Sideshow Bob spinoff, since his rat cartoon got cancelled on SpikeTV. I agree -- don't do it Kelsey. Why he is a rethug is beyond me; you'd think with his personal history he'd be a liberal dem, but noooo.

39. My favorite Johnny Cash quote |
|
comes off the 1969 "Live at Madison Square Garden" album where Johnny talks about how he and June Carter had recently returned from entertaining troops in Vietnam and had visited many young soldiers in military hospitals. And he says that reporter said to him that going to Vietnam like that made him a Hawk.
"No, I'm no hawk," Cash said, "But if you watch the helicopters bring in the wounded boys, then you go into the wards and sing for 'em and try to do your best to cheer them up so that they can get back home, it might make you a dove with claws."

|
And they had a big red button which the chimp pushed incessantly, and when he pushed the red button it would play the dean scream over and over ad nauseum. You couldn't even hear Miller's bullshit because the chimp wouldn't stop pushing the button, which was probably a good thing.
It was a real mess to watch, not funny or organized and nothing having to do with either entertainment or informative debate. It fit in the genre of ridiculous waste of time.

CNBC would have to be out of their mind to keep him on another week. It is just so obvious that it's not working. But I keep forgetting that the right wing media isn't as interested in ratings as they are in dominating the political scene with propaganda. So you may be right.
