Well, folks, the proverbial fecal matter has hit the fan here. Last Thursday, my mother was hospitalized, and had to undergo emergency abdominal surgery. They gutted her like a fish, with a hip-bone to hip-bone incision. I've been gone taking care of her, and she'll be OK, God willing and the Creek don't rise. This morning, another immediate family member "woke up dead" due to unnatural causes. I had to drive home through an ice storm tonight to get my "kit" and wife/spotter, and am "going South" first thing in the morning. "Bare is back without spouse to guard it." It'll be a 4 day drive each way, provided there are no problems at the border, so if all goes well, I'll be off-line for a minimum of 10 days.
