Anybody like Deep Purple?
Today I have been listening to Machine Head and Made in Japan. Suddenly I am on a purple binge.

4. great albums
the 1984 reunion album Perfect Strangers is great too.

Not all the albums were as good, though all their albums (except Come Taste the Band) had at least one really good song.

Fave songs: Lazy and Woman from Tokyo.

Purpendicular from 1999(?) was also good...

5. My first Concert
ever at the ampitheather in Chicago when I was about 13. Billy Preston opened the show. It was awesome or as I would have said then "It was so Boss"

6. They were here in Sheboygan a few years ago.
Either Lakefest or Bratwurst days, I saw them.

When they did "Smoke On The Water" the crowd went nuts.

Great group.

8. Well, Billy Ward and the Dominoes did a nice version of it in 1957.

And six years later, Nino Tempo and April Stevens did a pleasant enough pop reading of it, which became a #1 hit in late 1963.

So yeah, I guess you could call me a "Deep Purple" fan. :P
