Families just whiz me off!!!!!!!! |
|
Who said, they said, we said. Sheeeessshhh!!
It was my new wife's birthday yesterday. Called my side and got a new asshole after a bitching out because no one can remember birthdays and no one wants to. Granted, I am no angel but I was just calling to ask people to call back. Her siblings never even called.
Sorry I forgot that phone call 20 years ago. But get over it.
I did get her flowers and take her to a movie, plus a nice card.

1. Families, can't live with 'em; can't kill 'em in their sleep. |
|
What are ya gonna do? As for me, the guilt inflicted by my mom for missing mother's day a zillion years ago has me trained not to forget ever!
Yesterday was Dad's birthday. We went to dinner, and I bought him a couple DVDs. :-)

3. I swear to (insert deity of preference) I am NOT going to give my kids |

any grief for forgetting birthdays or even not calling. That kind of emotional blackmail is totally uncalled for and abysmally selfish. If I'm curious about what they're up too, I will call.

5. Why would you kill them in their sleep? |
|
There's no challenge that way.

2. The really sucky part... |
|
is I bet she always remembers to call them.
I love my family, they always remember my birthday, but I have lots of friends who go through this same shit as your wife.
I bet she really "appreciated" ;-) that you remembered and did something nice for her. :-)

She travels 90 miles at least one time a month to go visit. Lets see on their part, once< for a housewarming. I wanted to call and ask, but left the decision to her.

7. Is all of her family kinda clustered in the same town, area? |
|
I've been an *outsider* with the rest of the family like that and it sucks. Being taken for granted is an understatement. :(
