Bringing up Clinton serves no useful purpose. Defend the record of GWB on its own. No one really cares about issues from a long time ago - let it go.

Ironies will get no where. Defending something by saying its better than something else is far to obtuse for most folks, anyway.

Compare W's record with his current (likely) opponent, not the record of someone who beat his Daddy.
