Ever had a dream about your teeth falling out - well it just came true

I have had the dream forever - I am either spitting out teeth or they all just crumble out...fortunately I wake up

Nope not this time - I just spit out a piece of tooth.

Karma is a bitch - I just posted a rant in GD earlier today and mentioned that it sucks that dentists aren't open on Friday afternoons. Apparently I displeased the dental gods.

Now I have soft teeth and most of my teeth are more filling than tooth - some teeth have 2 or 3 fillings.

So I have 2 teeth next to each other on the side of my mouth - one the filling fell out of and now this one where a chunk of tooth fell out.

My fault - I was chewing on licorice, and I had a root canal on that tooth about a month ago and have not scheduled the follow up crown because of lack of $$ - now I have no choice. The temporary filling is still in - however part of the tooth is gone.

Sigh.....

Sorry to hear. I have that dream all the time and I have a loss of enamel that leaves me prone to problems. Fortunately, I've had the same dentist for 20+ years and he's letting me make monthly payments for the 2 root canals I had to have. Do you have a school of dentistry or dental hygiene near where you live? Here Marquette University school of dentistry will let students (under supervision) work on your teeth for very little cost and at the local technical college you can get cleanings by dental hygienist students.
