4. It may be that I'm skewing the curve against us.
But would I really want to move to South Dakota just to knock them down a few points?!

5. It's also a measure of the availability of treatment
and how affordable medication is, insurance, etc. I guess South Dakota just makes mental health treatment a priority. Here in Utah, treatment is, "go to church." Though, we take our fair share of anti-depressants, they're just not as affordable.

6. South Dakota suffers delusions of grandeur,
so its polling is suspect.

And the folks in Utah though you said "repressed."

7. Minnesota, Iowa, NoDak, and SoDak are pretty high
Wisconsin needs to Jump Around some more to get up from their #30 placement, which is surprising. They need to shake things up in Madison.

11. Because it's very expensive, low on job opportunity,
and an economy based on catering to outsiders - both Americans in the form of military and outsiders coming in as tourists.

Development of the beautiful areas for high priced resorts to cater to those outsiders.

It's a beautiful place, but it's also loaded with poverty and deficient in opportunity.

12. The top 10 states represent the healthiest states...
the bottom 10 the most depressed states.

I live in TX and I'm happy that we're not as depressed as 41 other states. Must be all that oil wealth. :P
