My brother had a stroke.
This is some serious shit...he is only 52. His right side is numb, but his speech is okay. He is having some trouble walking, too. He is entering a rehab hospital tomorrow.
When he was 18, he was in a head-on collision with a drunk driver who was going the wrong way down a four-lane highway, with no headlights, at about 8:30 on a winter night.
My brother's health has not been great since then.
He was in good spirits today, though. When a nurse came in to check him, and to see if he was alert and oriented, she asked him, "Who is the President?"
He answered, "Al Gore."
He is alert and oriented enough for me!
I think he will be okay, in time.
