What is your take?

I personally despise them...

1. Had one. Let it get shut off.
Needed it when I drove the cab. Don't need it anymore.

2. Other. I have one and use it when I'm not home.
I forward my home phone to it when I'm out. I have a 13-year-old son. Why would I want to miss a message, especially when it could be something important about him?

I DO keep it on vibrate at all times, though. I find ringing cellphones VERY annoying.

3. I have one and use it.. but not excessively.
I do NOT leave it on in a restaurant etc unless I'm expecting a call from overseas and then I put it on vibrate and go outside to talk.

I HATE rude cell phone users. I've seen a guy answer a call in church once. I thought my head was gonna explode I was so appalled by that.

4. It's my only phone
it's actually cheaper than a land line for me and I'm in college so it works out easier.

I keep it off most of the time and turn it on to make a call. I never have it on while driving, in class, or in a movie theater.

I've been in plenty of situations where I was glad I had the cell phone.

7. Those fucking things are a plague!!!

And if you drove for a living as I do, you'd feel exactly the same way. "Hang up and drive," indeed! :grr: :nuke:

8. have one
and it generally sits in the bottom of my bag completely flat - if I'm not at home and not in the office then I'm probably having fun and don't want to be disturbed.

I got my first years and years ago, back in the days when you were considered a total toss pot wanker for having one because I worked for a (now departed) mobile company - guess the novelty wore off early, too early atleast for me to find text messaging anythibng but a fucking waste of time and irritating to boot.

14. Yup, hate them too
People who use them all the time seem to have this compusion to use them. They are like smokers who have to rush out to light up after they have been deprived of their cigs or cell phones. Cell phones have become public nuisance number one next to dog poop.

9. They don't bother me at all
I don't own one but I don't care about people talking on their cell phone. I'm a don't sweat the small stuff type of person.

11. I admit it, I talk too much on my cell phone.
I'm like an overgrown high school girl...I love talking on the phone. (hangs head in shame)

However, I don't use it in stores, restaurants, or while driving. I use it at work, when parked in my car, and on weekends because I have free minutes.

I just love to talk.

12. Other
I have one, and I hate using it.

I use my cell phone to:
Store my phone numbers
Make last minute plans
Call long distance (free)
Call my parents
Contact friends

But unless I am talking long distance on it, I am never on it for more than 2 or 3 minutes. I hate talking on my cell in public.

16. I love my cell phone and couldn't live with out it
I use it for work and chatting quite a bit. It's great to be able to call a friend while I'm out at the spur of the moment to get together somewhere. I don't keep my phone on in inappropriate settings, though sometimes it is necessary in a restaurant but I excuse myself from the table and go outside to talk.
