22. He didn't speak like a retarded fourth grader???
At least he was a convincing, eloquent speaker/actor.

That's the one and ONLY good quality I ever saw in him.

12. You're right.
We've talked about this on the DU before.

I feel so sorry for him. Apparently, his condition has deteriorated to the point where he doesn't even recognize his children...and sometimes Nancy.

That's horrible.

Terry

19. No one should have suffered with AIDS, Hunger and Poverty either
Edited on Fri Feb-06-04 10:59 AM by LynneSin

Karma is a bitch. Maybe if Reagan did something about AIDS when it was first reported, 40million people would not be afflicted.

Tough for me to feel sorry for the guy

29. I've no quarrel w/ you, really....
Suffering isn't relative, and everyone who suffers is a human being, no matter how much of an asshole he is or how much suffering he or his minions caused others.

And god knows I agree w/ you about the Reagan admin & AIDS. The bastard never uttered the word "AIDS" until 1985.

mind you, his son Ron Jr is one of ours, and for him plenty of his dad's actions can be overlooked...

I dont wish alzheimers on anyone or their family. I hope they find a cure for it. I've had many family members sticken and it's so hard for everyone.
I believe my mother is in the early stages of it and I'd hate to see her live 12+ years dealing with it.
