Milwaukee-area DUers: Anyone catch the new Fox 6 Morning ad? |
|
Oh, dear lord, is this one awful.
For the uninitiated, they've re-vamped their colors into cheery, bright yellows and orange (to simulate sunrise, I guess). They show their anchors and weather guy yukking it up, scooting across the set and wearing funny hats. All of this illustrating a bouncy jingle that talks about it being local and fun. (The rhythm's way off, but that's the least of the problems.)
I believe the new colors and music behind the jingle are used in the actual morning news intro and ad bumpers, as well.
Keep in mind that they do cover actual news (well, in Fox fashion, anyway). They report on fires and murders and Iraq and unemployment. I give this whole mess until the next major disaster or terrorist attack.

1. You mean their set is as ugly as Ch. 4's? |
|
Haven't seen it lately, as I don't really like local news. Nothing but murders, fires, and gardening tips. Local news here is awful.
Anything they talk about I can get from newspapers or the internet.

Their set really hasn't changed much, but they're going for "cheery." :puke:

It puts Fox 6 right-wing tabloidisms to shame.
