Analyze this: I dreamed I asked my dentist if she was a Republican |
|
in the middle of a procedure. And she said yes, so I told her to stop working, I want another dentist. So she gave me a dirty look, but stopped working. I was moved to another chair, and after a brief wait, another dentist came and introduced himself and said he was a Democrat and picked up where the Republican dentist left off.
I am not currently undergoing any dental work and I don't think I've ever asked a dentist this question. What does my dream mean...

9. You need to trust that your dentist is trustworthy and competent. |
|
And as things stand now, being republican is synonymous with being untrustworthy and unprofessional. They're masters of dirty tricks, greed no matter how many people it hurts, and incompetence whenever they're supposed to actually help people.
I can definitely understand not wanting to trust someone who's a dedicated republican.
Makes sense to me. :)

12. I went to a therapist last summer. |

I live in a very liberal city. The first thing I said was. "you're not a Republican or anything like that are you?" and she smiled and said no. And then I said well, I guess I'd have to look pretty hard to find one around here. I didn't really get to know her personally but as I talked a lot about my values and activities it really does make a difference - and it turned out we knew some of the same people but not too many. So that's the only professional person I've ever asked.
I did go to a gastroenterologist about a year ago who walked into the office and told me a joke about Bush, which I thought was great!

I had to see a podiatrist for a plantar wart a few years ago. She immediately started in on the Repubranting, and talked about how wonderful Bush was, and how taxes are too high, etc. etc. I didn't say anythig because she had a razor blade to my foot. A repub dentist gets to say everything he/she wants to, because 1) you can't talk anyway, and 2) it's very discouraging to talk when you know someone might "accidentally" drill into your jawbone until the tip comes out the bottom.

13. The dental office I go to has Fox on in the morning |
|
which irritates the hell out of me. And I have asked them to turn it off.
If someone started talking about Bush I'd bite them.
