Of course things are always going on, but in a general sense.

Seriously, here is the best answer I can give:

I have been depressed most of my life ... but my wife and I have decided to go back to grad school, we live in a neat place, the kids (always a source of, well, stress) are doing good, we don't have money, but:

There's something in the way she moves,
Or looks my way, or calls my name,
That seems to leave this troubled world behind.
If I'm feeling down and blue,
Or troubled by some foolish game,
She always seems to make me change my mind.

Actually, it was in Henrietta Texas in 1952.

I have lived outside of the state a good deal of my life: family moved to New Orleans when I graduated from High school. I went to college and Law School in Jackson, MS, lived in Maryland and Virginia when I worked in DC, also lived 3 years in Tumwater, WA ... been comin' home a long time.
