2. You're still calling it a "slingblade", not a "kaiser blade", so there's
hope...

4. Fantastic movie...............
it was the first time I had ever seen Billy Bob in anything. He blew me away. I thought Carl was a real person, that no one could act that way on purpose. Why he never won an Acadamy Award for that role is still a mystery to me.
He was on 'Inside the Actor's Studio' and recreated Carl for the audience, it was the most well received sequence I've ever seen on the program.

7. Remember "A Beautiful Mind?"
Nash has a son who is schizophrenic. I saw him with his father on a segment of "60 Minutes." I was struck by how much Nash's son sounded and acted like Billy Bob in Slingblade.

He surely must have studied some real mental patients before he created his character. He was brilliant.

5. I liked it...
Any movie in which a country music star (okay, so it was the character played by the country music star) gets killed is a good one. I also feel the same way about any Bruce Willis movie where his character is killed as well. :)
