Good Saturday Morning DU!!
I wake up pretty every morning with a song in my head. Today, it was "Last Tango in Bayreuth" by PDQ Bach. Do you normally wake up with a song in your head? I do, and it is generally NOT related to anything I was listening to the day before.

What did you wake up with this morning?

And who here is just getting up, and who hasn't gone to bed yet?

2. Yes, made my coffee before posting to DU
Edited on Sat Feb-07-04 06:38 AM by Rabrrrrrr
Part of the morning routine is to wake up, go immediately to the coffee pot and make coffee, then clean the place while the coffee brews. :-)

And good night to you! Up working, or up having fun? It's 1:30 in HI now, right?

4. Good morning.
I went to bed two hours ago, now I'm up again. I am so sick of not being able to sleep the night through. x( Annoyingly enough, I have "Freedom of Choice" by Devo running through my head. Maybe that's why I can't sleep.

7. sorry you can't sleep the night through
Very sad, indeed. Young baby? Or someting far more heinous?

The worst mornings are the ones that I wake up with songs from Grease or Abba in my head, since those songs I don't like, and for the most only know one line. So all I get is that one line, over and over and over and over . . .

10. I wish a baby was the reason.
No, I've had this problem for a while now. My doctor has been monkeying with my medication lately, so I've been pretty depressed. Throw in winter blues, boredom from no volunteer work, and the stresses of infertility, and I guess they add up to no sleep. Ah well. I think I'll see if there are any cartoons on...

I know I should be grateful to be employed but 05:30 AM pages suck. I determined the page was bogus by pinging an IP address. My job is exciting too! :o

In fact I just wrote a five page letter to my boss telling him exactly why my job sucks at the moment. Now I just have to decide if he's going to ever get it or not.

6. Good morning, listening and singing out loud to Johnny Cash
I was totin' my pack
Along the dusty Winnemucca road
When along came a semi
With a high and canvas covered load
"If you're going to Winnemucca, Mack
With me you can ride."
So I climbed into the cab
And then I settled down inside
He asked me if I'd seen a road
With so much dust and sand
And I said,

"Listen, Bud I've traveled every road in this here land."

(Chorus)
I've been everywhere, man
I've been everywhere, man
'Cross the deserts bare, man
I've breathed the mountain air, man
Of travel, I've had my share, man
I've been every- where.

Been to Reno, Chicago, Fargo, Minnesota,
Buffalo, Toronto, Winslow, Sarasota,
Wichita, Tulsa, Ottawa, Oklahoma,
Tampa, Panama, Mattawa, La Paloma,
Bangor, Baltimore, Salvador, Amarillo,
Tocopilla, Barranquilla, and Padilla, I'm a killer.
I've been everywhere, man
I've been everywhere, man
'Cross the deserts bare, man
I've breathed the mountain air, man
Of travel, I've had my share, man
I've been every- where.

Boston, Charleston, Dayton, Louisiana,
Washington, Houston, Kingston, Texarkana,
Monterey, Ferriday, Santa Fe, Tallapoosa
Glen Rock, Black Rock, Little Rock, Oskaloosa,
Tennessee, Hennessey, Chicopee, Spirit Lake,
Grand Lake, Devil's Lake, Crater Lake, for Pete's sake;

I've been everywhere, man
I've been everywhere, man
'Cross the deserts bare, man
I've breathed the mountain air, man
Of travel, I've had my share, man
I've been every- where.

Louisville, Nashville, Knoxville, Ombabika,
Shefferville, Jacksonville, Waterville, Costa Rica,
Pittsfield, Springfield, Bakersfield, Shreveport,
Hackensack, Cadillac, Fond Du Lac, Davenport,
Idaho, Jellicoe, Argentina, Diamontina,
Pasadena, Catalina, see what I mean, sir;

< D> I've been everywhere, man
I've been everywhere, man
'Cross the deserts bare, man
I've breathed the mountain air, man
Of travel, I've had my share, man
I've been
every- where.

Pittsburgh, Parkersburg, Gravellburg, Colorado,
Ellensburg, Rexburg, Vicksburg, Eldorado,
Larrimore, Atmore, Haverstraw, Chattanika,
Chaska, Nebraska, Alaska, Opelika,
Baraboo, Waterloo, Kalamazoo, Kansas City,
Sioux City, Cedar City, Dodge City, what a pity;

I've been everywhere, man
I've been everywhere, man
'Cross the deserts bare, man
I've breathed the mountain air, man
Of travel, I've had my share, man

"I know some place you haven't been."
I've been every- where."

8. Good song from a GREAT man!
Had the pleasure of seeing him at county fairs a couple times. Even wore a DIO concert jersey to the last one in the late 80s. :-)

Gads, what a performer AND prophetic voice he was.

12. Good morning, Rabrrrrrr
Now that I know you're safely up and coffeed in NYC, I can go off to bed with peace of mind, Warren Zevon's "Lawyers Guns And Money" playing in my mind.

Just finished watching "Silence Of The Lambs" for the 10th time, and finally recorded the uncensored version after all these years.

So good morning or good night to all - sunrise or sunset. Bund

Best of luck with the hangover.

At least it wasn't someone else's clothes you woke up in.
