Rub a little salt in our wounds, why don't you?
LSU won fair and square...
How about a little graciousness?

7. Weeellllll.....the graciousness was lacking when Michigan was upset by Appalachian State |
|
OSU and MSU fans flooded their website for App State gear to rub in Michigan fans' faces. Sooo....while it might not be gracious, it is kind of satisfying to rub it in a little.
Personally, I like nothing better than when a Big Ten team beats an SEC team. I would've rooted for OSU if their fans hadn't gone berserk over the App State game. Upsets happen; could even happen to your team. Although...Michigan did beat their SEC opponent in a bowl game.

but here on the boards, I'd like to think we're a little more civil about sports. I mean you're in that state up north but I'd gladly meet you when we get the chance. ;)

I'm talking about fandom in general. The stuff after the App State upset was brutal.
So...when are you coming to this state up north? :7 Or maybe a halfway point; lunch in Findlay or something after the weather gets more dependable....

I sympathize, however. Last night was an ASS-KICKING!
I LOVED IT!!!!! GO SEC!!
And as a side note, it's not like we don't have to suffer through the gloating of people like Pitt and his Pats (Pitty-Pats?) and his Red Sox and his Celtics ...

the BCS will keep giving them a shot until they finally figure out how to win a national championship again.

A vastly talented and experienced LSU team practically at a home game beating a Buckeye team that was supposed to use this year to rebuild . .. and how about that, there they were again?
OSU is one defensive coordinator away from a dynasty.

We weren't expected to do big things this year. We made it to #1 and still get bashed because we lost.

15. We made it to the national title game with Interception Boeckmann at QB. |
|
COME on.
We lost HOW many offensive starters to the NFL draft last year?
And people say we suck?
That this team even got 11 wins and the BCS title game is a testimony to great coaching and continously great recruiting classes (of which the next one is damned great as well).
Like I said, get a defensive coordinator who knows how to shut the spread down and you got a dangerous team.

21. For this year anyway, a little less than easy . . . |
|
. . . considering they lost most of their offensive stars to the draft, went with an unproven quarterback and played Wisconsin, PSU and Michigan on the road.
OSU really does need to improve their OOC schedule, which they'll get in droves for the next two years when they play USC.

didn't they have to declare curfews in Columbus last time OSU won a championship? those Big 10 ads about being good fans and good sports aren't there to congratulate the fans, are they?

I've lived around the US in some of the different divisions, and maybe it's just Ohio State fans, but I've found the Big 10 fans to be more gracious.
YMMV

"The loss left Ohio State at 0-9 overall in bowl games against teams from the Southeastern Conference. The SEC delights in whipping Big Ten teams in what's become a rivalry that steams up fans on both sides." http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/7641418

Georgia...USC...Kansas...Missouri...West Virginia
they all got screwed by allowing OSU to play (again) in a game where they were hopelessly outmatched (again).
but that's the beauty of the BCS. let OSU try and try and try again. what a joke.

complaining about who ends up playing when the system is flawed really doesn't accomplish anything.
OSU didn't ask for their ranking. They didn't buy their way into the game. It happened. BCS is broken.
