Finally, DUers, the worst songs of the 90s? |
|
Jive Bunny and the Master Mixers.
Sample a bunch of old rock 'n' roll records, throw in some swing samples, stick a cartoon rabbit on the cover, and you've got an instant 'wedding anthem'.
Yeesh...

I am not sure which was the worst song. I try to forget really bad songs that I don't hear anymore. Maybe "Oops I Did It Again" by Brittany Spears. That was still 90's, wasn't it?

|
Ken Barnes does. She's not universally panned. Even if she was, I'd still enjoy her. Her last two albums get a B+ from me. The Woman In Me gets an A-. Her first one more like a C+.
My least favorite songs included:
"Higher" - Creed "Nookie" - Limp Bizkit "Fire, Water, Burn" - Bloodhound Gang "Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" - Aerosmith "I Drive Myself Crazy" - 'N Sync "Shock Your Mama" - Debbie Gibson

Because there was very little in her song that was actually ironic.
It's like Ray-ay-ain on yer wed-ding day! - Um, well, that's just a bummer, not really ironic.

A cruddy little group in Vancouver, the lead singer met a locla DJ at a party once and eventually they played their song on the radio, somehow it became popular......and was on ALL THE TIME for about six months.
I don't think it ever hit the radio anywhere else.
Other than that, I'll say anything by soundgarden..

31. Let's not forget the formulaic approach to his self-destruction... |
|
Like how every concert ended with a Who-esque smashing of the instruments, or how Reznor "didn't know" the house he bought on Ciello Drive to use as a recording home was the one in which the Manson Family murders took place...
What a poseur!
And he stole so much from Jim Thirlwell, who continues to record some of the most remarkable music in the world, in relative obscurity.

30. Songs from any of the Pearl Jam copycat bands |
|
I was a British music fan during the 90s. Although I hated the term "Britpop," the music was better than most of what you'd hear from the recycled grunge bands.
I never was a Pearl Jam fan, either, but at least they were somewhat original. I'm talking about bands like Candlebox, etc.
