World's oldest nun? And the Pope responds...
Edited on Sun Feb-08-04 12:44 AM by WannaJumpMyScooter
Scary photo. I thought it was a Dali painting at first.

FREDERICTON (CP) - The 113th birthday party for Sister Anne Samson will be subdued Thursday and her fellow sisters at the New Brunswick convent where she lives won't be wishing her many more. Sister Anne is one of the oldest people in the world but the endurance race of life holds no appeal for the aged nun who quietly fears she's been overlooked by God.

Born in Cape Breton on Feb. 5, 1891, Anne Samson has lived in three centuries.

When he heard about this, the Pope immediately went into seculusion, saying, "Holy Shit! I might live that long?"

1. old biddy
and after all these years she still hasn't learned to breakdance. No wonder the pope is disappointed.

Maybe her purpose on Earth just hasn't been fulfilled yet! Silly people! What, a nun who's lost her faith!? Well, smack my butt and call me Sally.

5. Good ol' Anne
Good Nun, nice and holy.

I remember back in '75 we gals went to Memphis for the Nun-A-Thon, well Anne was there all decked out in her habit. Look like a vision of Holiness.

Well, later that night a bunch of us went out to some of the C&W bars. You should have seen the looks on faces of the patrons with a couple a dozen nuns walk in. Sort of like that part in "Sister Act". Well, Anne bellies up the bar and ordered a round for all of us. Three hours and many cocktails later, Anne's up on the stage with a rhinestone cowboy hat belting out Tammy Wynette's "Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad". Brought the house down.

That Anne, what a gal.
