Poll question: New St. Helena for OUR Little Corporal
I didn't pick the traditional "Elba", because as we all know, Napoleon escaped from his exile there. Through his captors apathy, BTW.

His second exile to St. Helena was quite a different story.

How about a lonely and/or remote place to exile Emperor Shrub once his regime is deposed this coming election?

Allegorical places accepted as well.

2. Wouldn't that spook the dairy cows?
He could ruin the cheese industry too.

Put cows out of work.

Then have Congress cut off their unemployment compensation.

The price of Cheddar goes through the roof.

Damn, Bush ruins everything!!!

19. Just saw half of Shrub's interview
I sat there and saw him infer that the fate of the planet depends upon the type of governement is established in a third world basket case of a country.

No one on the Earth would be safe unless Iraq is a democracy.

Whoa.

This guy has some serious issues. When I last checked the United States is the leader of the free world. And I thought that we call the shots.

I think he needs a new job by next January, because he's certainly not up to the task at hand.

6. Barrow, Alaska...
Furthest north permanent settlement in the United States. Three months of twilight/darkness a year (during which time the suicide rate goes up by, I think, several hundred percent). And, I understand, an unpleasant hell of mosquitoes during the summer (the entire month or so of "summer" they get there, when high temperatures may be as high as eighty degrees F). Temperatures drop below freezing over 300 days out of the year. The population is less than five thousand; one suspects that about sixty percent of those five thousand are alcoholics, since there's not much else to do there; and George will feel right at home, since the Alaska Pipeline isn't far away and the oil business contributes greatly to the local economy.

The Japanese occupied Kiska in the 1940s, and there may be one or two old structures on the island where they can keep the guards.

Miles from anywhere, no access except by plane, and an air force base, so Shrub can prance around in a flight suit to his hearts content.

14. How about a nice chain link cell at Gitmo?
How about a nice chain link cell at Guantanamo Bay, where he'll be forced to eat his captors' idea of appropriate meals, denied appropriate clergy, exposed to the elements, etc. . . .

Indefinite detainment.

Make him and his adminstration prisoners there, and open to spectator tourists to heckle and cajole them.

They so much want to go back to a feudal, medevial system, let 'em suffer punishment under same system.

21. No WAY he comes up here unless I get to pick the spot!
Somewhere in the Brooks Range, maybe? How about still-glowing-from-nuke-tests Amchitka in the Aleutians? Or - ahah! Smack dab in the middle of "there's nothing there but ice" ANWR?

And all he gets to bring with him are a fish hook, some line, an axe and ONE book of matches? And it's mid-January when he's dropped there? Of course, I'll grant a decent set of winter-survival clothing...... but NO bug dope for Breakup!

Hmmm............the Shrub in adverse conditions.....VERY adverse:

See, now I'm going to have REALLY good dreams tonight!

22. Alaska? For real?
Something doesn't make sense about that picture.

The temperature is -44F, and it's mid-winter.

But it's light outside.

That isn't a trick photograph just to get Shrub's hopes up, is it?

23. Only because it was taken at 1:30 pm!
We're gaining 7 minutes a day right now. Another mid-winter for ya:

Very typical mid-winter sun!

I'll get his hopes up, all right - all the way into the Brooks Range up!

He'd have animals smarter than he is for his only companions........

Maybe if it could be arranged to leash him to a pole set in the middle of a large pig sty ...
