It's a beautiful one here but do I have to ruin it by watching Bush this morning? :eyes:

dad called last night and asked me if i thought Russert would "put both boots to Bush"
after i stopped laughing hysterically, i told him if that happens, i'll eat my own ski gloves
wonder if i'll have room for dinner tonight :eyes:

is not dependent upon Russert. I anticipate that the president, who clearly is feeling the pressure from a potentially united democratic front, will not disappoint us. Enjoy!

6. I just saw a snippet of the interview on TV |
|
and I thought Bush was awful! He talked and acted like he was sedated. I can take no glee from him looking so bad since he is running the country after all... at least for a while longer.

We're doing very well, thank you. been laying in bed reading and enjoying coffee, except for a few minutes to get up and check email, and, of course, the ever-present looming gravity well of DU. But now, back to bed for the Rabrrrrrr. Cheers!

5. Bound to be a great day, it's above zreo, 2nd day in a row! |
|
We have a streak going! It has been bitter cold here and relatively toasty at 27-47 above in the surrounding areas for two weeks. Everybody in Tiny Town must've opened their doors, put fans on to blow warm air outside and finally the cold air pocket on us moved.
Probably going into town (well, one that is bigger than this one) today. Get to go to the hardware store, which is my favorite shopping stop! Will see lots of deer, antelope and bald eagles on the way. Might see a buffalo or two.

Better brew yourself up a pot.
(Although if you just sat through the jackass on MTP you're entitled to be grumpy.)

12. He isn't allowed on our TV |
|
I haven't let him be seen on the screen for more than a half-second at a time since he took over, I kid you not.
I am drinking the ol' ZombyCoffee, but I am grumpy because I have to work today from 9-5 doing dumb people's taxes. x(

I don't htink I've had him on very long at a time either -- the sight and sound of him make me :puke:.
Have fun at work... I'm starting to get my tax stuff together. I hate it so much -- can't imagine doing a gazillion of them.

God bless you, ZombyWoof, for we dumb people need you. (Actually, I did mine yesterday w/ TurboTax, but I expect as life gets more complicated I may need to call upon one of your buds.)
There's a great song by Cheryl Wheeler called "Estate Sale." Your phrase reminded me of the first line in the chorus: "goin' through dead peoples' houses...." ;)

20. Zomby...I'm with ya on not seeing shrub on TV for |
|
more than the time it takes to change the station. I did the same with his daddy when he was president.
I also have not listened to NPR much since he took office. It's like one continuous Bush love in over there. Sure there is the occasional commentator who lets him have it but then it is followed by someone from the CATO institute or some other right-wing "think" tank.

16. G'morning, matcom & all. Today I'll be fighting |
|
gross inertia -- you know, a body at rest tends to stay at rest -- as I think of 12 loads of laundry that just refuse to wash themselves, a carpet that needs a serious vacuuming, a basement full of recyclables crying out to be hauled to the center.
But it'll be a lovely day. It's sunny outside, I'm alive and on the planet, and I'm loved. What more can one ask for?

Let's see. My cat is recovering from surgery and is feeling poorly today but not so much that he's hiding from me. I am recovering from a head injury yesterday that required a late-night visit to the emergency room but, as a result, I can tell my boss I can't do any project work today. But we're both still here and I learned I have friends who will help me when I need them no matter what the hour so I'm actually feeling pretty damn good this morning. :-)

I hope your head and your cat both feel much better very soon.
I was cheered by the sight of a neighbor walking her three-legged pug... the dog is missing its left rear leg, and, poor thing, it kept trying to pee by raising its right leg....

Three-legged dogs are cute and funny and heart-tugging and admirable all at the same time. How does one pee with no leg to stand on? Check out the GD:2004 Primary forum every once in while. ;-)

I'm cooking fajitas outside on the pit and drinking Miller Lite. I go to bed at 1:00 to go in and work midnights tonight.
