For my 4000th post--a famous quote! |
|
Single-mindedness is all very well in cows or baboons; in an animal claiming to belong to the same species as Shakespeare, it is simply disgraceful.

7. Congrats on 4000 and on finding a great topical Huxley quote |
|
I wonder what the author of "After Many a Summer Dies the Swan" would think of the current chimpocracy. :-)

11. Aye it is - and thank you! |

I'm a painter. Like, a fine artist painter of paintings, not a house painter. Though I've done that, you wouldn't necessarily want me to do it except as a volunteer, unless you were willing to let your walls look like my paintings. :-)

12. You could do my walls like that! I think it would look great! |
|
Especially since my cats only throw up on the carpet, and not the walls--your fine art will be safe!!!!!!!!

13. I'm available for commissions, which includes painting walls |
|
Any time - just let me know - I'm available. I've done wall murals for elementary schools, but never been able to tackle an entire wall for sake of fine art. That would be exciting!
Cats are so beautiful, it's so sad that they have the throwing-up tendancy. Really takes away from what otherwise is excessive elegance in the creatures.

14. Actually, only one of them throws up a lot--she' fairly skittish and has |
|
a nervous stomach.
This place in Denver is only temporary--do you do commissions abroad, like in Prague?

15. I will paint wherever a client wants me to paint |
|
Even in Prague. Always wanted to go to Prague. Friend of mine lived there for a year, and I always thought it be a cool place to visit.
But yeah - anywhere.
Are you moving to Prague?

16. I've been thinking about moving for a while now--the cats are the problem. |
|
...I'm not going to leave them, but still looking for the best way to get them over with me--there's no quarrantine period for them, which is good, but the trip itself is my worry.
Also, lots of family health problems right now--hate to say it, but they won't be a problem in a few months, and not in the good sense.
You really need to go to Prague--I've been five times--ever go somewhere and just feel like this is where you were meant to be???

17. Sorry to hear about the family |
|
and yes, I have been somewhere and thought "This is where I am supposed to be." For me, it's Hawaii. Partly NYC. It's a good feeling, but it sucks when that isn't where one is. And the sense of NYC being "home" is starting to wear off - but my heart has been toward Hawaii for years, and I'm very much hoping that's where I'm moving this year. :-)
But I'd still like to go to Prague. And Paris, Vienna, and Oslo. And Kyoto. And so many other places...
But in the meantime, while you await your move, I do have many other paintings available. I'll PM you a link.

18. Thanks--I'll check them out tomorrow--Ja jsem unaveny! |

Which means it's time for bed! Dobrou noc!
P.S. For me, Southern california was the place to be for the longest time. But now that I'm older, I hated being in a place where there is such an emphasis on youth!
