I'm at home drinking wine and listening to Edith Piaf - ask me anything |
|
I'm in a whimsical mood, who knows what my answers might be.
Let me put on my silky pjs first

My french teacher in high school taught us the words to "Milord" and I have been an Edith fan ever since.
I went to a museum dedicated to "The Little Sparrow" in Paris several years ago. She had a very sad life...

4. The worst is I'm listening to it right after watching Sex and the City |
|
which makes me even more whimsically sad since there are only 2 episodes left of my favorite TV show
probably all these candles lit around my place add to the mood

11. The greatest chanteuse de toute l'histoire |
|
Boatloads of French colonials fleeing revolution-torn Algeria in 1962 sang "Je ne regrette rien" at the top of their lungs. They were leaving a land they loved (and where they were hated) and were due a hostile reception once they crossed the Mediterranean and made it to France. Piaf made them feel better, too.

haven't listened to her in ages though. I have kind of been on a Lotte Lenya kick lately, singing Kurt Weil and others.

Who is the most whimsical 20th century painter. I'm going to go with Jean Miro.
