Woman Finds Kidney In Newspaper (Want Ad That Is)
<snip>

A PERTH grandmother who advertised in a Western Australian newspaper for a new kidney will undergo surgery tomorrow after a compatible donor answered her ad.

The 60-year-old woman received more than 150 emails and letters from across the world after placing the advertisement in The Sunday Times last year.

She will be given a second chance at life thanks to the generosity of a 28-year-old Perth man, who has been declared a perfect candidate for the operation.

The Sunday Times reported today that the donor and recipient will undergo simultaneous operations tomorrow at Royal Perth Hospital, where surgical teams will work in adjoining theatres to transplant the kidney.
