RANT: Why cant I get a normal toothbrush |
All I want is a normal soft-bristled toothbrush. But no, I have to get a scientific, state of the art, high profile toothbrush. Dammit, I want a normal toothbrush.

2. Butler toothbrushes are pretty good. |
They used to have an old-fashioned soft bristle brush. Here's their site: http://www.dentist.net/butlertoothbrush.asp

3. I know what you mean............. |
the 'scientific innovations' in oral hygiene products is maddening. Through slick advertising they lead us to believe that one toothbrush is far superior to another. Bullshit, a toothbrush is a toothbrush. If you brush correctly it won't make a damn bit of difference.

4. Tooth Brushes all the same? |
I thought the same thing until a few years back I got an Oral B Electric Tooth brush. I use a regular brush on occasions and the difference is quite noticeable. Not only is it more thorough in using less time but the really big thing is that it is so gentle on my gums which have been damaged by "soft" regular brushes.

5. You can't have a normal toothbrush... |
because they don't make any money off of them. It's better for them if they add a new feature that you don't really need and then charge three times more for it.
Sorry... I tried to go out and buy a toothbrush at the grocery store this weekend, and I'm still angry about how much they cost. $5 for a non-electric toothbrush? You've got to be kidding me. :grr:
