1. How about the drain pipe of a sink in a chruch bathroom
trying to take it apart to get a tie tack that fell down in there, while tripping your face off on acid?
That was a strange month or two.

I avoid them like the plague. Got hauled into one at about one month old and they doused me with this damned water! It was cold!!!

3. A french fry
The fries in my HS cafeteria were as hard as bullets. I bit into one, and it bent in half, plunging the dart-sharp end up into the roof of my mouth. Yes, it cost me some blood.

8. Two things. I cut myself (requiring stitches) on the back of our sink
while cleaning it. There was a jagged edge from a break when they set it in I guess and it cut me. Ouch! The second was on an ATM machine when I was a bank teller. I cut myself on the drawer holding the money as I was sliding it back in...silly me.

Those lids are sharp. I yanked one off one day and it sliced right through the web of skin between my thumb and forefinger. Took 5 stitches to close the hole.

27. A courthouse door cut my foot through my new leather shoe
when all of us jury duty folks got dismissed for the day and everyone was racing out the door. The bottom corner of the big heavy door somehow sliced through my shoe, into my foot, and I hollered so loudly that a court person came over, helped me to a chair, and got a bandage for my foot. I ended up getting a tetanus shot later. The whole thing was bizarre! (Making the day more bizarre, after hobbling my way to the bus stop and getting home, when I went to my car I found that my tire had been slashed the previous night!)

36. A car key
I've still got the scar on my hand, too. Car keys don't make a very neat incision.

I also cut myself on the first poptop can I ever tried to open, back when I was a kid and they'd just been invented. I've had a distrust of those things ever since, though I have to admit they do seem a little safer these days.

38. Ice machine here too!!!
How did it happen?

I was working maintenance at a resort when I was in high school and had to clean the ice machines about twice a month because the water was so rusty and scaly. I was pulling the hose off the top distribution thingy and when it came off...WHAM!! The knuckle of my right thumb hit the edge of the frame dead-on and I think it almost cut through the tendon.

I stuck a band-aid on it and kept working. Had to replace the band-aid too often because it kept getting wet and I didn't want to get blood in the ice machine and have to clean it again, so I wrapped it with gauze and electrical tape. It kept bleeding for the next few days. I finally scrubbed it really clean, then made a makeshift device out of duct tape that pulled my thumb back towards my wrist so I couldn't bend it and open the wound while I slept. It finally healed after a couple of weeks.

I was trying to cut it out with a razor knife and my hand slipped and I scraped my knuckle across the caulk and sliced it open. So, basically I cut myself with latex. :eyes:

40. The trailing edge of a Navy jet wing.
I'd only been in the Navy a few months. Was working nights. We were pre-flighting the aircraft with flashlights and trying to hurry. Wasn't watching where I was going. BAM. It took about eight stitches to sew up my noggin just above my forehead.
