...do you think Scott would be getting this much attention? A big part of the circus seems to be all those photos of Laci's 100-Watt smile on her TV-star face. If she'd been plain looking, would that case be off the radar?

2. My kids had a cousin that was abducted and murdered

by her ex-boyfriend just a few months ago. The girl was pretty but was overweight. And, her daughter was of mixed-race. She was found several days later, 50 miles away, strangled to death by her ex-boyfriend, the child's father. The whole incident barely got a mention on the local news. She was not as pretty as Laci but just as much a human.

I honestly believe the *unborn* aspect has just as much if not more to do with it than the beauty thing. Certainly she was a lovely young lady, but the fact that she was pregnant is what got the RW pro over-populationists salivating over the story, and being they currently control the media...:eyes:

Now, the real question is, would it have been portrayed as near the tragedy it was if the baby had already been BORN...

4. Early on, I was under the impression

that the media attention was focused on the case due to her pregnacy/murder....The right to lifer's want to charge Peterson with a double homocide..... Now its up to OJ status and it's just good fill-in media when they, the media, do not want to cover the real issues.....Like for example, Massachusetts got a big media view for the anti-gay marriage crowd that protested....Verses all of our hundreds of anti-war protests that never made the news....
