Fuck fuck fuck fuck FUCK!!! |
|
#1 - Car stuck in front of house in snow. Won't move. Can't get out.
#2 - While trying to rock said car from it's stuck place, BOTH Brake and ABS lights come on. And stay on.
#3 - After giving up on car and coming inside I hear loud noise outside. Open the door to find a HUGE slab of wet and heavy snow/ice slid off the roof - effectively blocking me from getting out of the house without some kind of mountaineering gear. We are talking a huge mountain of snow in front of my door that's taller than ME. AND - it's done a nice job, from what I can see, of wedging the front gate in such a way that the only way out is somehow over the fence - the same fence the fucking CAR is wedged against.
#4 -

5. Well, considering that research online has shown that both those brake lights being on = |

DO NOT DRIVE THE FUCKING CAR NO MATTER WHAT ... they won't be getting better for a long time. The car dealer is over an hour away!!!
Seriously, I wish I knew where the charger was for my camera. There's some epic white stuff out there! I was ALREADY struggling to get in and out of the house before this new massive pile added to it.

Ask Oscar about how to get out by crawling on the snow and over the fence. ;)
Hope the brakes are nothing series. x(

7. Seriously, I think I'm fucked when it comes to the brakes. |
|
That's where the  came from - the rest I can deal with. John can take me to work, and yank my car out like he did last time. Work can bring a ginormous piece of machinery over and dig out my parking spot (if they can find somewhere to dump the snow) --- but when I looked online it said both those brake lights being on mean something BAD and no matter what you shouldn't drive it. OMG ... that's not something I can deal with right now. And how much do you suppose that shit would cost to have towed to fucking YAKIMA? Or Bellevue?? A LOT.

The pass has been closed for ... 2 days? 3? I don't know ... it was closed for 28 hours, opened for 2 yesterday, until an avalanche covered some cars - closed again right then - STILL closed now, and talking about it being closed for another 24! Read:
I-90 - Snoqualmie Pass remains closed due to extreme winter conditions from milepost 34 near North Bend to milepost 106 near Ellensburg. The pass will remain closed for at least the next 24 hours. Due to wet, heavier snow, the avalanche threat has increased. Friday, Feb. 1, at 9 a.m. is the earliest WSDOT will be able to assess the effects of this storm and our ability to reopen the pass. WSDOT will continue to update the Web page with the most current information about the conditions on the pass.

This snow sucks! Not good at all.
I tried looking up your owner's manual online, but apparently Honda doesn't just stick them out there. You can get it, I guess, since you're an owner. I have found lots of people with ABS issues, but no one with the problem that you have on the Element owner's board.
Edit - spoke too soon. A guy said he was in stop and go traffic during a blizzard for 4 hours and his ABS and brake lights came on. He said, it went off and the problem has not returned. It might be that all the stop and go trying to maneuver the E made the brakes overheat. If you can get out tomorrow morning, start it up and see if the lights are off.

12. That would be sweet! If it's just the overheating thing. VERY possible. |

I actually replied to the princess this time -- here:
He is awesome. He LOVES Bodhi, and Bodhi loves him. They are pretty gay, actually. He acts like a little packrat. His "hide spot" is under the glider cage. He takes ALL the toys under there, and stashes them back in the corner where Bodhi can't easily reach them. If Bodhi has a toy and drops it - Oscar will grab it and RUN for the glider cage. I gave them some apple on Sunday to see if they'd eat it. They wouldn't. I was doing something else so I didn't pick the apple pieces up off the floor right away. When I went back to get them they were gone. I was wondering if I was crazy -- Did I pick them up and not remember? Or did they give in and eat them? Later I was picking stuff up off the floor and saw that Oscar and grabbed the apples when I wasn't paying attention and stashed them in his spot under the cage. HAHA! Sometimes I find my socks and slippers under there too.
Another funny thing is if Oscar doesn't come back right away when I let him out (he almost always comes back QUICKLY) and he doesn't come when I call I'll ask Bodhi "Where is it?" and tell him to "Go get it!" and let him out. He RUNS out, gets Oscar, and brings him right back to the door.
They are really weird. Anyway - you don't have to leave him with me. Bodhi will be upset if he's gone but he'll get over it eventually. He's not always waiting for you to come home anymore ... although him having Oscar has helped with that I think. He still trips if we're in the car and someone is walking down the road though - because he remembers going in the car to pick you up when you're walking. Thankfully that almost never happens because I'm not taking him in the car hardly ever.
Oscar also knows - Stay, wait, and down. He knows the word "treat" now, and he is absolutely GREAT about the crate.
He still likes to play the high drama "OMG please don't BEAT me" thing though...LOL
Oh! One more thing - he and Iago PLAY! It's really cute - and Oscar LOVES sleeping with all the kitties. I caught him and Iago spooning before.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
End of transmission. Glad to hear she's online - that means she's not out tweakin'. At the moment. She never answered my message though.

He and Oscar are really cute together. Bodhi really does need someone he can play with and your kitties don't want to fit the bill.
I think Iago and Oscar playing is REALLY cute. I wish I could see that.

WEIRD, isn't it? That email after what we were JUST talking about last night? If I didn't know better I'd think she was privy to that conversation.
