The Royal Greasing of the Poles

In anticipation of non stop Mardi Gras partying from right now through midnight next tuesday the bars and restaurants on Bourbon Street are greasing their poles to prevent revelers from climbing up to their balconies, and of course the greasing is cause to celebrate (drink heavily.) Its after five somewhere. The Mayor will turn the city over to Rex and the King of Zulu monday afternoon. It will all end when the Krewe of Trash start their way down Bourbon early Wednesday morning.
