I'm going to invent steak-fried chicken
My wife is making chicken-fried steak tonight.

Obviously there's a gap in the space-time continuum which needs to be filled--Steak-Fried Chicken!

Tomorrow night I'm responsible for making dinner. I'll get right on it.

I have BEEN to Texas...well, parts of it anyway, if you count Killeen as part of Texas.

I've also been to San Angelo, home of America's Nastiest Tap Water.

I am NOT going back.

4. You ever eat those real thin "flank steaks"?
If we were talking about a real high quality steak, you're absolutely right: you grill them outside, you don't fry them.

But my wife LOVES to buy these fucking flank steaks that are about a quarter-inch thick. They're good for a lot of things. You can make a great cheesesteak from them, for instance, and I like to slice 'em into strips and add the strips to tomato sauce. They're good, but they're not steaks per se...and that's what she's chicken-frying tonight.

it's the tough cheap cuts you fry.

12. Well a flank steak or round steak or skirt steak (which is the same as flank really... but anwyay)
all those are still technically 'steaks'... but they're sure not for grillin.

I think grillin & bbq are nearly religious instituions down here. :crazy:

boneless skinless thighs... Montreal Steak Seasoning, in a skillet, on top of stove.

Of course, you can't cook the chicken rare....
