Dads & Sons & Body Image
Can't let the girls have all the fun.

So how did your dad influence your image?

Dad's arms were the size of my thighs and then some growing up. Always felt like a shrimp even when he wasn't around.

1. Eh, by the time I hit 7th grade I was as tall or taller than my father.
So, I guess he may have had issues.

4. I outsized my dad by early High School....
He was more intimidating mentally, freakin' genius that he is. What kind of freak graduates from High School at 14?

5. I inherited my dad's height, cheekbones, and vanity...
he always had a much bigger clothes closet than my mom.
However, unlike my dad, I don't plan to start wearing those sky blue short-sleeved jumpsuits when I turn 50. What the hell was he thinking?

6. I didn't have one until I was what... 7?
Whenever my mom remarried. And his body type has fluxuated over the years. He used to do a lot of running/jogging, so he was in shape at the time. Then he stopped, and he wasn't. Then he decided to get back in shape. Then he stopped again. Now he's started up a bit just because he's getting old enough to really start worrying about health complications, so he's about halfway between in and out of shape. :P

9. I'm bald, he's bald.
Other than that I haven't spoken to him since 1994 and don't even remember what he looks like.
