What's For Dinner Tonight?
I stopped off at the supermarket tonight and bought a Sara Lee cheesecake for dinner which I will wash down with vodka mixed with Fresca. It's been one of those weeks. Oh......I plan on eating the entire cheesecake in one sitting. As for the bottle of vodka, maybe not. The last time I drank that much and posted on DU, it was not good.

So, what are you all having?

1. I'm starting off with cold avocado soup sprinkled with hot green chiles
And going to Asian pear waldorf salad with lime dressing, dover sole with basil chiffonade, veal osso buco with gold leaf, grilled zucchini au poivre, green beans tondelayo, and a queen Anne's cherry tart for dessert.

:P

I snapped it right out of the New Basics cookbook. You know, basic stuff! :D

Basic, and I won't hear of another meal without gold leaf plastered all over it.

17. We Can Puree Freedom
and serve it to him..........nobody should have to take freedom as a solid. It's discriminatory against our friends who can't digest. Me? I prefer a fibre supplement. All of the world's problems can be solved with fibre. Trust me on this one.

25. Sensitivity
Edited on Fri Feb-01-08 06:46 PM by Sugar Smack
Sensitivity, Sensitivity
I’m just loaded with that.
In this one word is the epitomy of the aristocrat
Sensitive soul, and sensitive stomach, sensitive hands and feet;
This is the blessing, also the curse of being the true elite.
Common people don’t know what exquisite agony is,
Suffered by gentle people like me!
Just get your hands off me!
Think up a tricky test for that wretched moat-swimming princess.
Wizard:
Madame may I suggest, Maybe we ought to…
Queen:
Don’t take all night, I’m not well, I need my rest.
Not that I’ll ever sleep on that lumpy mattress, oh God my back!
Sensitivity bane of roalty, that bed’s a torture rack.
Oh I hate to sound grumpy, but my nerves are so jumpy.
I am sure I could feel any lump, even if it were under the mattress
And small as a pea!
That’s the answer! Under the mattress… We’ll test her tonight!
One tiny pea beneath one thick downy mattress. Oh God! You’re bright!
Any genuine princess would feel it, if she doesn’t she’s through!
Get the tiniest pea and order one mattress, No! Make it two!
Wizard:
Why not five?
Queen:
Ten I think would be plenty.
Better still, make it twenty.
And to play it safe, in the event even that’s not enough to make sure she sleeps
We’ll give her a soothing sedative, won’t we? You can whip up a drink.
Something stunning; Ah…Oh, but your devlish.
I love the way you think.
She’s insensitive, so insensitive; She’ll fall asleep no doubt!
God, but you’re clever! Brilliant! A genius! You are divine! Get Out!

From "once Upon A Mattress"
:P :D

I don't mean to seem 'better-eater than thou' but you asked and if eating that cheesecake will help go for it!

I'm having a chickpea salad...I bought an heirloom tomato and cuke yesterday and i have a can of chickpeas handy...dash in some impromtu dressing stuff like malt-vinegar, seasalt, peeper, thyme...mix together and much...some wheat crackers on the side. oh an a glass of red wine.
