I still miss her. She ate when I did, loved having her neck scratched, imitated all sorts of noises... I knew every noise she made and figured out why she made them. Apart from one: She always laughed after I got out of the shower. She never needed to see me, but he always laughed when she heard the shower curtain get pulled back...

I don't post much, but I do read and remember people and their posts. I remember one particular post where the parrot got out and found him in his bedroom. I guess I'm a little more sensitive to things. I shouldn't expect others to be and I'm sure no one meant to be flippant. The responses pissed me off and I shouldn't have posted it and should have realized they didn't take him seriously.

Anyway....back to HypnoToad and his loss.

I remember your posts about your parrot well. I remember when you were thinking of getting another and asked the opinions here.I I remember I responded to take a day to think about it. I really think only a very few here realize the impact they make on someone's thoughts. At least those of us who care...so don't ever feel inconsequential. There are more of us that pay attention and care than you think. And many care about you.

I know one pet can't replace another in the same way...but, you need to go out and get yourself another parrot friend. I hope you do soon. I think it will help you in your grief.
