Shout-out to DUers with loved ones deployed |

In all the madness, we haven't forgotten you.
It's not a photo op. It's not a flag-waving holiday.
But we remember. And we know how much you miss them, and worry.
Hang in there. And thanks. :patriot:

Our grandson will be home in 1 month and 18 days froma a 15 month deployment in Afganistan, He calls it his release from hell! I intend to hug him and shower him with kisses, I'll have to stand in line, wife, mom& dad and siblings first. We haven't seen him in 3yrs, he has had two tours in Iraq also. Last week we recieved a beautifly frames US flag and plaque that honored us for our support during his tour of duty. He received two boxes a month from us just to help him feel some comfort and joy. He has 14 months left before he is disgharged, we know it will be stateside. The relief is overwhelming for our family! We are indeed so very proud of him, but do not want to see another grandchild in the service.

 O.K., two
I'm so happy to hear he will be home soon!
I know how hard it is - my husband came home from Iraq in June 2006. We are keeping fingers crossed that he doesn't have to go back anytime soon!
Tell your grandson we are proud on him, too! :patriot:

Our lives get so busy we sometimes forget that there are others who need to know we are thinking of them. Thanks for the reminder!
