Is creating a batch file easy?
I have a computer game at home that I enjoyed playing a few years back called Medieval Total War. After a few times through, it was not a huge challenge to me to win, but I would modify the game stats to make my opponents more formidable. It was simply just editing a .TXT file and saving it over the original version (after I saved a backup of the original, of course)

However, the newer version of the game (Medieval Total War 2) is not quite so easy to modify. I had run some unpacking file first to get access to some of the .txt files... but, then it says to run the modified version of the game, I need to do the following:

- To use the modified files create a batch file in your
Medieval II: Total War folder

- In the batch file add the following line

medieval2.exe --io.file_first

It just says to create a batch file like everybody knows how to do it. Is it just simply opening up a blank .txt file and typing in that one line and then saving it as newjeffct.bat? (or whatever extension is at the end?)

1. Yes, but
Make sure to save the file to whatever directory has medieval2.exe - or else use the full path name; e.g c:\program files\Medieval II\medieval2.exe in the batch file.
