Check in here if you did NOT watch the Super Bowl....
This year, I didn't see one single second of the game or even a commercial. The TV wasn't even on, in fact. Moreover, I had no idea who even won until listening to the radio for traffic updates on the drive to work.

19. BOY did I have some pissed off friends.
I have a 42 plasma HD with HD service and when I told a couple of them about it this morning.....

But Deb wouldn't have let them watch it in our bedroom anyway and besides I had zero interest, as I always do.

7. Missed it completely
Even if I had a television and an iota of interest, I would have. I was trying to sleep off a bad cold.

It worked. I feel much better today, though the fans of whoever lost probably don't.

16. There was a Super Bowl?
Honestly, I am SOOOOO glad Mr. MG is not a football fan. One of the reasons I married him.

Yesterday was no different from any other Sunday--MG Jr. commandeered the TV till he went to bed at 8:30. I must say that Spongebob is growing on me and Mr. MG...

22. the what?
"Super Bowl"? Some sort of eating contest? ;)

Didn't watch, have never watched, don't ever plan on watching. The hype around it gets me really irrationally pissed off. I realize it is irrational, because I do enjoy baseball and sometimes basketball. But football makes me crazy.

Only reason why I knew who won was was because it was splattered all over the internet.

28. Same here
I watched an episode of Enterprise but most of the night the TV was off and I didn't know who won until I saw the front page of the Globe in the morning.

I haven't even heard or read anything about the ads except for a mention here in the lounge about the Coke ad, and I still don't know what the issue was with it.

29. Not only did I not watch it, I didn't even know it was happening, AND I scheduled...
... my son's 3rd birthday party for yesterday afternoon - and everybody came!

The fact that I am today aware that a "super bowl" happened yesterday means I need a bigger rock under which to dwell.

30. I was planning to watch it, but
my boss informed me, an hour before kick-off, that I would be working involuntary overtime. To make a short story long - I converted the overtime to comp time and took an extra day off - which means they will have to pay overtime to cover for my comp day. Serves the bastards right.

But I did come to DU first thing this morning to look for the flamewars about SB commercials (i.e., the Snickers commercials from last year)!

Not real exciting, but I hate crowds and the stores were quiet during the game, so it seemed like a really good time to get it done.
