I'm reasonably healthy, and (for the most part) eat pretty well but have a genetic predisposition to having high cholesterol levels (and bad good to bad ratios). I started taking it a few days ago, and maybe I'm being psychosomatic, but I really feel nauseated much of the time ever since I started- especially right after eating. If anyone has any real life experiences to share, I'd love to hear of it.
Thanks!

2. It has done well by me... |
|
no problems with it that I can recall.
Perhaps touch base with your doc if it continues?
Best of luck.

I don't know if you take a lot of other meds, etc., but in my experience, side effects from new medications usually tend to subside as your body gets used to them.
Of course, it might not even be the Lipitor, it might be something else.
In any case, I hope you feel better soon.

I knew they'd be not-so-good this time around. I've ended up eating out a LOT here lately and put on a few lbs. That always seems to make it worse.

11. My husband has familial hypercholesterolemia. (that's a handful to type) |
|
He's on 80mg of Lipitor and also on Zetia. His cholesterol is finally stable and much lower than pre-medication. He didn't have any problems with the Lipitor, though.
I wish you good luck with your meds.

14. Zetia might also be in my future.... |

Even when I was following the American Heart Association diet to the (obsessive) letter, I never got down below even the middle of the "borderline high" range.
Oh well- guess we've got to die of something....

15. He had flu-like symtoms for a week from the Zetia. |
|
Muscle aches, chills, fatigue. After a 7-10 days, he was fine. The only thing was that they have to be taken at different times of the day because of liver issues, which is where the cholesterol problem lies anyway.

Mine was over 300 this time, so there really was no other choice in the matter.
