The five stages of Patriots grief... Now don't get mad at me Pats fans, just thought this was funny
It's a sad day in Boston. Happy and full of joy everywhere else, of course. But sad in Boston.

Bostonians are coming to grips with the demise of the greatest team ever the New England Patriots.

As you may know, there are five stages of grief: denial and Isolation, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.

This is how Patriots fans will progress through the various stages. Please be understanding of their plight. Keep your pointing and laughing to a minimum.

2. Yes, we're ex-Bostonians, and we were sad, too. The game was SO exciting and the razor-thin score..
proves it.

What I am wondering today is what Regis Philbin spoke about on his morning show with Kelly Ripa:

The Las Vegas odds were heavily weighted in favor of the Pats. They didn't win. How much money actually changed hands in Nevada and every other place where transactions take place both legally and illegally?

Cordially,

Radio Lady Ellen

4. Well, I hate when my teams lose too.
But the Giants seemed to want it more.

14. Personally, I am not a big football fan, but my ex-husband from New York
Edited on Mon Feb-04-08 07:57 PM by Radio_Lady
worked for Roone Arledge at ABC's Wide World of Sports. He was a young producer and when we lived in New York, we always had some connection to sports either through his work or just because he just loved NY sports -- the Rangers ice hockey particularly!

We were really mis-matched in this department. I was the manager of the women's softball team in high school because I am a left hander who happens to catch and throw with the SAME HAND! That will get you in trouble if you think about it. So, while I can swim and ride bicycles and horses, I never wanted to go to Yankee Stadium and Madison Squre Garden because I'm not to good in crowds. But televised sports were just on all the time in our apartment and home between 1963 and 1971 when we divorced. After that, it was just a struggle to survive. I do recall that the first movie I reviewed was "Born Free" -- so that pinpoints my career as a critic!

Ironically, I got a job with WIOD Radio in Miami which, at that time, was involved with the Dream Team of the 1972 Dolphins. Larry King was a local sportscaster whom I had dated in the 1950s, but he was arrested (but not indicted or convicted) in December 1971. He lost three outlets where he was working -- TV, radio, and the small Miami Beach Sun newspaper. I took over his air show that month and worked there until early May, but it was long enough to be involved with the team through interviews, commercials, etc.

Now, with my "current" husband, POLITICS has become our sport!

In peace,

Radio Lady in Oregon

6. I found it strange how he did not come back on the field for the last play.
He just went and hid. His post game interview was very short and nearly seemed angry.

16. correct me if I'm wrong
but I thought they were the New England Patriots not the Boston Patriots, they stopped being from Boston in 1970. I think the sadness is spread over a 6 state region.
