So We Have 'The Catch', 'The Immaculate Reception', 'The Drive', And Now We Forever Have 'The Play'.
Edited on Mon Feb-04-08 07:22 PM by OPERATIONMINDCRIME
I mean, I knew it had to have a nickname. It is arguably the most incredible and dramatic play in Superbowl history. It needed a name. Knew it was gonna have a name. I didn't know what it would be.

But it appears now, that it is already known quite simply as 'The Play'.

30, 40 years from now, the youngest amongst us will be in front of their TV's, with some other amazing just happened football moment being discussed, and they will refer back to 'The Play'. One for the ages friends, one for the ages.

I couldn't believe what I had just witnessed. Eli. I mean, friggin Eli. Eli did that? Did he really just somehow stay on his feet with all those hands on him, cut back, escape, gain his footing, and get that much behind that pass? Did Tyree REALLY just catch that ball with his helmet, get manhandled, bent over backwards, still hold onto it, and not get hurt? Did this really happen?

Most exciting and dramatic play in a superbowl ever. I'll say it dammit!

18. I Can't Wait Till A Clearer Youtube Video Is Put Up!
That video, though at least something, does not do The Play justice.

21. They Do. It's A Bit Clearer, Though Not Perfect, And Ya Gotta Sit Through A 30 Second Commercial.
At least it's a little clearer though.

But I want it to look like it does on my wide screen tv! LOL
