I have a haunted photograph |
|
well ok, a frame.
I've owned this picture for at least a decade. It's a beautiful nature shot by Thomas Mangelsen, a noted nature photographer. It's about 36" by 20". Beautiful dark, wood frame.
Recently, it started "bleeding". After all these years.
A reddish-brown line of goo has started oozing from one corner of the frame. WTF?
It's staining my bedroom wall!

3. Do you have little rubber "feet" on the back of the frame? |
|
You know, to protect the wall?
Just curious. This exact thing happened to me, and there was a bizarre but scientific explanation for it.

and the little rubber feet, causing the feet to "melt" and trickle down.
Get rid of the rubber feet and the bleeding will stop. Worked for me, and I was similarly freaked out.
ON EDIT: Try felt ones instead of the rubber ones. You can get them at Michael's or Hobby Lobby or wherever you buy your hobby stuff.
