Van der Sloot "didn't lose sleep" over dumping Holloway at sea "like an old rag"
http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/02/04/natalee.holloway.suspect/index.html

(CNN) -- On video, Joran van der Sloot says he "didn't lose a minute of sleep" over knowing Natalee Holloway's motionless body had been taken out to sea and dumped. In the video that aired Sunday on Dutch television, van der Sloot, a suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Holloway, told a man he was with the Alabama teen on an Aruban beach when she died and that a friend of his with a boat disposed of Holloway's body.

"He went out to sea and then he threw her out, like an old rag," van der Sloot told Aruban businessman Patrick van der Eem January 16. Van der Eem recorded their conversations on hidden cameras installed in the Range Rover he was driving, according to the Dutch TV report.

Aruba's chief prosecutor, Hans Mos, called the account that aired "very impressive" and announced he was reopening the investigation.

Van der Sloot later said the statements were lies, and on Monday his attorney said the video contains "no admission of a crime."

2. This fucker is like Michael Myers in "Halloween"...
...there's something really, really wrong with him, and whatever he did, it looks like he's going to get away with all of it, regardless of whatever evidence surfaces.

I can't even imagine how her parents cope with this.

5. why is the media letting any of this out at all, shouldn't all this just be given to the police
and the lawyers? Doesn't this just muddy up the jury pool if it comes down to that?

7. The case was closed. It might only be the media pressure
that's getting the case reopened.

I hope everyone who was involved in this gets rounded up and put on trial. And I hope this starts haunting their dreams for the rest of their lives.
