7. Three things:
1. Blooming ruins the detail in the snow; it's washed-out glowing white.
2. Why isn't the lion licking the snow as it falls?
3. He doesn't appear to need courage.

9. Done!
I added them to my screensaver slideshow, it's mostly animal pictures and often when I sit at my computer I have to just watch the slideshow for a while! :headbang:

10. There is something sad about that picture
Lions aren't suppose to be found where there is snow, which means this Lion is in a cage

13. It's rare for lions to experience snowfall in the wild, but not unheard of...
and climate change in recent years is causing snowfall to occur in places where it typically doesn't...like Algeria, Somalia, and Lesotho.

It is sad that man's presence has made zoos a necessity for these creatures' survival. Fortunately, zoos are in the process of evolving from circus sideshows to research and conservation facilities. The National Zoo, where this photo was taken, does not force its animals to sit out in the snow to satisfy the public, and has heated rocks in its enclosures for animals unaccustomed to cold.

In a perfect world, there would be no zoos, no global warming, no surplus humans to poach animals and destroy their habitat. Until we can figure out how to make the world perfect, I'm glad we have zoos.

14. Actually, they are supposed to be found in the snow.
Before the spread of civilization, lions were found all over western Europe, northern India, and from Alaska down through South America.
