1. My dear pokerfan!
The one I really like, and still find useful:

The months on your knuckles and in the spaces between them...

You start on the forefinger with January...the months with 31 days go on the knuckles!

Then February in the space next to that knuckle...

March is next on the next knuckle...

And so on...

It works!

July and August both have 31 days...so you use two knuckles in a row for those...

Try it and you'll see!

:bounce: :bounce:

Still use it at times.

2. On Old Olympus' Towering Tops
A Fat-Assed Goddess Views All Hops (but it was "A Finn And German View.." if the instructor was nearby).

It helped me to memorize the cranial nerves. The first three are Olfactory, Optic and Oculomotor. The others I'm hard pressed to remember, and they've changed the names of a few as well - thank the gods for Google.

30. I learned that one as well as an addendum
Bad Boys Rape Our Young Girls But Violet Gives Willingly for Silver & Gold

Silver and gold representing the tolerance (+/- 10% and 5%.)

I also learned the offensive version which eliminates any confusion between the first two B's. Common decency prevents me from repeating it here.

Oops, forgot to explain. In Western music, we use a standard 7 note scale: Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti.

Ionian is a 7 note scale starting with Do. Dorian is a 7 note scale starting with Re. And so on...
