3. reminds me of a joke
a newly arrived group of heaven are assembled in a room, they are told they will need to go through orientation before deciding what part of heaven they wish to reside.

the orientation class ends with climbing on a bus and taking a tour.

at the first stop, St. Peter and the group observe people standing, kneeling, and sitting. Some have beads, others are lined up eating a wafer and a sip of wine. St. Peter explains that these are Catholics.

on the second stop, they observe a group of people bowing up and down on the ground, and all are facing to the east. St. Peter explains that these are the Muslims.

and so it went for a few more hours, on the bus, off the bus and St. Peter explaining each group.

finally they stop at the base of what appears to be a crater surrounded by bushes and other dense foliage - St. Peter tells them they will need to climb the crater, not make any noise nor ask questions, and he will explain when the get back to the bus.

so they climb the crater, and peer down into while well hidden by the bushes and foliage. They see a group of people singing loudly, waving their hands in the air, some are falling down on the ground, others are wailing in gibberish.

St. Peter motions to the group, they quietly follow him back to the bus.

once on the bus, one woman asks "so who were those people, and why did we have to be quiet?"

St. Peter replies "they are evangelicals and you had to be quiet because they think they are the only ones here."

7. Yeah, but with a funny twist. Read on:
Mobile and Baldwin (AL) counties got special dispensation to hold an early voting day last Wednesday.
See, today is also Fat Tuesday and these two coastal counties are HEAVY into that celebration.
So I voted for Edwards last Wednesday.
He was still on the ballot, so I figured what the hell.

8. But, you voted.
Yeah, Fat Tuesday isn't just for N'oleans.

Sorry to hear that. I had my heart broken last week, too.

... even Brian's stupid girlfriend? - Jillian? - had the Clintons nailed? You know? How she said everything? Like a question?

Did somebody say, "Jillian had the Clintons nailed?"

Jillian: Well, I just think, for starters, that sometimes the government has things they can't tell us, and "truthishly", we should just accept that.
